I'm after a 2 piece set of leathers and have been hearing good things about the qmoto range of gear but before I make a trip to Hamilton I want to know are they better/worse than similarly priced name brand gear?

I would say that for the price it is the best around bar none.
Some would say that even the high priced stuff is of poorer safety specification than Qmoto.
If you go along to any Wellington group ride (such as the WNCR), you can guarantee there'll be several people in head to toe Qmoto which you could have a look at.

I haven't crashed in any other brand kit, but I have crashed 4 times now in my Qmoto leathers and they are still mint, well apart from the scuff marks etc.
High quality gear a very good price!
I just got a jacket from his new range. Much cheaper than any of the named stuff and it seems to be bloody good quality so far.
You don't have to come to Hamilton http://www.qmoto.co.nz/info/qmoto-fitment-guarantee
But it would make things easier!
Even when i went and saw him i managed to fit myself out with the wrong size jacket that he was happy to swap.
I dont mind admitting there are lots of good brands out there, I think for someone investigating the gear (any gear) look at these things and "dare to compare"
1/ leather thickness
2/ Number of rows of stitching
3/ Armor Type
outside that fit and comfort.
I can stack up better than most on the above at lower cost.
happy to help ;-)
Ive run out of fucks to give
pretty much the response I expected to get, just thought I better make sure
Hamilton here I come!

Hey Chris, I can personally vouch for the quality of Q-Moto stuff. It's all I've been crashing in for the past four years and I have yet to sustain a graze or impact injury despite some fairly spectacular "GET OFFS"
And that coming from a guy who works in a dealership selling everything EXCEPT QMoto.

My only complaint with my Qmoto is its internals. The leather, finish, fabrication and fit are excellent. However the fabric from which the pocket linings are made is suboptimal. After two years of summer riding, I can't use the pockets any more. Fortunately I have hard luggage.

Howdy, been riding in the top tier track day kit from Qmoto for the last couple months and it's been great. Equivalent at a 10% discount from a dealer (i.e. branded) was over 30% more expensive. Best bang for buck out there, and a great crowd to deal with to.
Edit - two piece, not in a onsie yet![]()
