1.) MNZ rules for competition motorcycles.
These are non negotiable, lock wired sump plugs, catch bottles for crankcase breather, carb overflow hose, fuel tank breather, and coolant overflow for
    the water cooled bikes.
Spin on oil filters to be secured with a hose clip or similar.

Applies to all Buckets and Motards

Please note MNZ rules 34.2.4 through to 34.3 regards Motards. ( 500cc min
size catch bottle, no glycol coolant, lock wire fillers and drains, noise
    max 95 db).

2.) Roy's Hill track rules, in addition to the above.

All bikes to have crash knobs / bungs / nylon, call it what you will to the
    following areas,

a.) Front and rear axles, or front fork legs and rear swing arm ( which ever
    protrudes the most ).

b.) The underside of both foot pegs.

c.) Handle bar ends. ( Alloy bark busters here on Motards,)

d.) Any part of the frame or engine that will touch the ground if the bike
was laid on it's side.( Some claim the RS 125 tail / seat and tyres hits
first, so they don't need nylon swingarm / axle protection ???).
If this is the case, we reserve the right to push it off the stand and see what hits?

e.) Lock wired oil and water filler caps.

f.) A Grade riders only permitted in practice sessions and A Grade races,
same applies for B Grade. Any reasonable request to run outside of your
class ( machine sorting etc.. is at the discretion of the Clerk of the
Course.) Going for a quick fang or extra track time is not reasonable.
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death. (HT)

Well done guys nice to see you putting the rules to action. They well get the picture after being sent home a few times. Very hard to repair a fall out with the kart club re track damage.
It's not what you ride but how you ride it!!

Talk to the flag dropper. Should be green flag up, then count 1,2,3 go.

I was under the impression that footpegs needed to be folding OR nylon'd? am I confused or is this a rule specific to the track?
Unfortunatly I will not be there this weekend anyway, just curious.

Kart tracks require the bike to be nyloned in such a way that no metal can touch and damage the track surface in the event of a crash.
Mt Wellington is probably the most relaxed of all the kart tracks in the country about this and it has been a while since there was a blitz so I guess we can expect one soon.
If we start carving holes in the tracks we can expect to lose the venues and that goes for Roys Hill and Kaitoke as well as Auckland.

One observation I make is a lot of people only seem to lie the bike on its side and don't seem to consider it flippin' and a floppin' down the track...

If its does that you just use your body to protect the track from the nasty pokey out bike bits.......................

Flippin' and a floppin' is banned under Rule 104, section C and will not be tolerated. If you are going to crash we prefer laying it on it's side. Means you can get up and do the next race.
See also Rule 104, section D, NO BOUNCING, NO HIGHSIDES, NO SUPERMAN, ( this means you DT )

I think rule 104, section C and D would have ruled you out of at least 3 meetings last year?
