Hi there forumites
I have just joined the site and look forward to getting to know the lay of the land and reading through the millions of previous posts..
I am an expat West Islander living in the greater Wellington region for the past 13 odd years.. had the last 10 years away from bike scene after selling my GSX750ET in '01 to focus on raising my two kids and finally decided that I wanted to get back on the saddle as my 40th loomed last year.. ended up waiting til just before my 41st this year to get a bike and got myself a low mileage 1998 Fireblade which I am just getting used to and have clocked up 3000 kms since I took delivery in early March.. I am not a young hoon and am being sensible in my approach to returning to riding, the last few years doing trackdays in my car have taught me exactly where to have a thrash and a race and it isn't on the street which has disappointed several riders who have buzzed me over the past few weeks..
I am an avid bike nut and have worked in the industry here in NZ and back home in West Aussie. Aside from my GSX and the 'blade I have only owned Kawasakis, started on a 1989 KDX200 then moved through GPZ900r, GPZ 1000RX, ZX-10, had a brief daliance with a 95 FZR1000 but returned to the big K with a ZZR-1100.. just figured I wanted something different this time and went for a Honda, and I haven't been disappointed in the slightest..

Reading through every post on here will take you about 18 years, might as well forget it and get as much riding as you can, while the weather is still....favourable.

Welcome. You show courage to admit you are a west islander AND a Honda rider.
Don't waste your days reading back posts, if they are relevant one of the old hands will refer you to them, gives them pleasure to assist in such ways.

Welcome along. People have different opinions on matters of interest to them, and you need to way up the answers given to decide for yourself what is right.

I have no idea what MVX riding, Western Australian born, skinny little prick directed you to this site but he should be shot.

You may find KB a little less PC and moderated than some other forums we've caught up on but you've got a thick skin and call a spade a spade so I'm sure you'll fit right in brother.
