Dunno how this will go, but if it works we have;
1st - The Chairlady, Sunday morning.
2nd - MD and Friends at the Tinui lunch stop.
3rd - Martinborough Sunset Friday evening, with a gnarly bunch of adventurers.
4th - Nice looking farm property with Aprillia and Suzuki, up towards Admirals Road.
[Well it sorta worked, my new pc always insists on resequencing any attachments I put in.]
[
Going well Re-cycled, always good to see a few more pics.
Cheers

Awesome ride, although for the first hour I was thinking we should have stayed in bed. We opted to take the first wet weather bypass and this turned out to be a good idea as we joined the main route again just as the weather eased, just before "THE HILL". We got up (2up) OK and went back to help a few. Dawn did have a few "JESUS" moments through this section. My favourite part was run through the station track just before Castle Point. What a blast!!!
Hi all,
newbie to this forum, as my previous forum was 4strokes.com for discussing my XR650L...but now that I have a KTM 690E, its time to do more of riding...than of sorting out my bikes issues.
I fortunately got away in a front bunch with 3 other riders all on big Beemers, Tony C on his HP2, Coops on his '92 PD1000GS and Gus on his tricked R80. We did the whole thing, and ironically had an 'adventure' with the rain and mud...it certainly made it interesting, but I did feel for some of the newer rides on big shineys...it would have been shit. I heard that about half the riders didn't complete the summerhill farm??

First time 2-up in those sorta conditions on the R100GS. Yup, made it interesting all right. Had a great time but disappointed to miss out on a lot of the ride.
good work on the two-up!!! I'm always impressed with that... as if not having a big machine is enough, throw on a pillion for kicks, and some mud and crap...:thumbs up: dude
I looked through you pic's and I can just see me (grey helmet on) at the Gladstone store (part orange bike at top of car park) so you can't have been mucking around :-)
Big Dave has posted my ride story over on the KiwiRider site here http://kiwiridermagazine.blogspot.co...dv-report.html
Glad to oblige Dave.
Cheers
