    So what would you do?

Bicycle stolen the other night. Reported it thats about all i could do. No insurance claim coz excess is more than the bike is worth.

So today the girlfriend sees some dude riding it down the road. He pulls into a house only 3 or 4 houses down from us. Comes home tells me so i go for a looksie. Sure enough i see a bike that resembles mine at the back of the house. Go home ring cops they say they will send someone when they can.

They ring back say it may not be tonight and that i may have to grab someone from a station tomorrow.

Go out again and the bike is now gone from said house (was gonna take a photo)

Should i have bothered with cops? Should i have just gone and knocked on the door? I would have taken it back if it wasnt behind a fence at the back of the property (which you could see from the road).

Girlfriend saw the dude and he saw her so mighta got spooked and got rid of it already. Might have missed my chance.

Break window.. bucket of petrol through window. In with a lighted match.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

A mate had a similar scenario happen, he and another friend collared the guy, rang the cops and told them they had apprehended the thief and someone was sent straight away.

can ya still do citizens arrest these days???
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Tell the cops you are going round to get it and that you think they have firearms in the house. They will respond pretty quickly to that!

yeah but then they will wait at the safe forward place for back-up
he officer then went to a "safe forward point" to meet up with ambulance staff and await the arrival of backup officers coming from Thames.

What I don't get is that the cops use the excuse for stopping vehicles that they may find stolen goods or stop a wanted thief etc.

Hey cops, there's a thief at this house!! With stolen goods!!

WTF???? The dude had a knife embedded in his head and they're getting charged with "intent to injure"?

Funny thing is comms keep asking me why i haven't gone and got it myself

Yeah im just going to walk around the back of a criminals property and take what they think is theirs. I'm sure they would be real happy.

Where is your anger, man? Put it to use and go steal the fucker back, and if someone says anything to you tell them to get fucked.

Hrm better make sure it IS yours though.

That is the problem. Girlfriend saw it and was fairly sure it was mine. I saw it from a distance. Colour seemed to match (pretty distinct colour). I went to take a photo so i could be 100% sure but the bike had gone. Cops will hopefully be around tomorrow morning.

And my anger? The bike is not worth much and definitely not worth me getting any assault or wilful damage charges laid against me!

You should have said the guy is very clear in my scope and that he doesn't seem to have noticed the red dot over his heart yet!

You might have got his attention then!

Wanna burn down the house? Need an extra hand? ;-)

Sorry to hear about the situation. Must be sick tasting injustice (and obviously immoral of those fucking cunts).

Sad but true. One time they just gave out a note saying that they verify that a (friend of mine's) house was B&E'd, for the insurance.

You have all the right to be angry. The bike was (clearly) unlawfully and wrongly taken away from you. But what a positive thinking, good for you. Wish I could be a 6 feet 6 inches tall, kick-boxing dude to knock on his door for ya.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
