    Incident Type: Vehicle crash

    A motorcyclist has serious/life-threatening injuries after hitting the Moonshine Bridge, Trentham. Emergency services are in attendance with the Serious Crash Unit enroute.
    Nthbound traffic is diverted onto Silverstream Bridge, Fergusson Drive; Sthbound traffic River Rd is diverted Moonshine Rd-Fergusson Drive.

    edit- I saw you as I moved on Bugsplat. Just to clarify SC and VTwin were heading home (south) after a ride up the hill. I was chatting with them both 2 hrs earlier at WMCC.
    After just coming home from a successful 4 hour ride I know how you guys who were there must feel, this is terrible news. Stay strong guys, let's hope Dave is okay!

    Oh fuck, never good to hear of anyone in this situation, let alone someone you know of. My thoughts are with Dave (SC), those riding with him and family and friends. Hoping he'll be okay, thats all I can say. My fingers don't know what else to type, just take it easy out there guys and look after yourselves. Fuck.

    Apparently he was taken to Wellington Hospital just called them, they can't give me any info but he's there and his family are with him. Just called his home number but they don't have an answer phone, I'll text his parents & let them know we're thinking off them.

    If he's made to the hospital and still hanging in there that's hopeful. Those surgeon chappies can perform some pretty serious miracles nowadays( hoping he won't need miracles though).
