We may see the Rossi of old in the second half of the season, applying pressure from behind ( no pun intended ) & forcing mistakes.
If he doesn't fuck himself up crashing the thing first. He biffed it big in Qualifying...and is down in 12th for the start of the race. Can't recall EVER seeing Stoner that far down the pecking order on the thing...

Rossi's biff was just like nearly all of Stoners last year. Mid corner....no warning, front says bye bye. Maybe he's not trying hard enough?

If Stoner can win at Jerez, and he obviously has the pace, I'm predicting a complete whitewash of the season. "Rossi of old" style. Never off the podium for the season and number 1 plate secured with 4 rounds to go.

And a carton of Steinlagers Pete's way.....................

Its all about the tyres , Honda have been working up to this for a while ( Smart move by stoner if he knew this )

And about chassis flex , mid corner . I think from memory Suzuki got the bridgestones working early ( cant remember how , at 9 am pre coffee I think by moving the engine backwards ), ie get the bike working to fit the tyres . Spees saying the 2011 yamaha the tyres feel soft ... ie Yamaha seem on the right track ...

The ducati is a carbon fibre frame and chassis flex is a seat of the pants thing Rossi is a very good developmental rider ...

so.... Rossi if he gets it up the front , well done

Pedrosa ,,,,what can u say , hes gutted and if anyone askes about the shouder again expect a midget to explode

Stoner , that smile on his face, is a very confident smile , he knows it and they knows it

Elias , Not happening , bye bye

Rossi must be REALLY regreting his "Casey's not pushing the Ducati hard enough" comment. He couldn't ride the thing that Stoner rode and they are franticly trying to turn it into something else.

Reckon Ducati should be putting some Lire toward DePuniet's camp. He seems to be able to ride around the fuckers weaknesses.
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

Actually thought Pedro might win this but it's all down to how the shoulder holds up. Still think it'll be a Spaniard so Lorenzo followed by Stoner with Pedro either first or third... if that makes sense

I still think Lorenzo will pip Stoner at this one. Gotta say...you were right about Simoncelli...I was wrong. He's come good for sure.

Well we all know anything can happen in racing mate. But my opinion of Stoner being the fastest racer I've ever seen ain't looking so far off the mark right now.

We're probably both crazy to think anybody's going to pip Stoner... probably crash trying.

Simoncelli's still got to win a race long dice for top "non alien" though and I have no idea who that will be tomorrow. Probably Spies although he's been a bit out of sorts this weekend.

How about Spies second into turn one behind Pedro who then manages to get a break and rides off to win while all hell breaks loose behind him?

Seems like the only cunts that can ride these 800's properly are ex 250 GP racers. I still think Spies will be able to give the 'Aliens' a go...just may not happen till they go back to the thous.

higher mid corner speed ??? not point and squirt or slide and squirt???

Rossi it has been said is better at sifting through the problems , Stoner is a ride round it

What was the problem for Ducati? did they want to know why in order to produce a better bike and Stoner couldnt deliver ?

After the holidayt and mid season , if that ducati isnt going quicker , then those parts aint being delivered , money?? resourses?? it is an expensive year this year ,?

Come on Hopper , its great to see him back ,,, They were saying he has a few problems before he left the gp paddock

I missed that , what were they ( miller lite? or just not used to proper English beer )

It is good to see him back and making a decent fist of it.

The Eurosport guys were saying he became a bit of a party animal/piss head. Even managed to miss a test because he was so under the weather.

Stoner, Pedrosa set MotoGP pace in Jerez

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/motorsp...-pace-in-Jerez
Australia's Casey Stoner was fastest at free practice yesterday for this weekend's Spanish MotoGP.

Honda rider Stoner, winner of the season-opening Qatar GP, clocked a combined 1min 39.551sec for both sessions in windy conditions to put him 0.028sec ahead of Spanish teammate Dani Pedrosa.

Stoner admitted he was "pretty happy" with his two sessions on a track where he hasn't had much success in the past.

"I remain nevertheless prudent because during the previous Grand Prix I did well in the first sessions and I had to battle more and more as the race approached," he said.
