Probably like all the other major water users in chch, ie brewery, freezing works, airport etc, from their own well at their bottling plant.

The water under the ground is fine, it's only the risk of what's got into the broken pipes after it's been pumped out of the ground that makes it possibly not safe to drink.

Their production costs will be cheap, the water is almost perfect for coke, just needs bubbles

Maybe that is how Coke gets it's colour - hook up a sewage pipe to your water supply ........

Coke committed to the update of the CHCH plant well before the earthquake Machinery was already purchased . Break out of old plant was to have started about now.
After the quake , Coke had to decide if they wanted to resurrect CHCH, if they did not all the eggs were in one basket at the AK plant so I suspect they were always going to rebuild

Lion are facing the same issue but the damage is much greater at the Canterbury brewery.

CHCH tap water is some of the best quality mineral water in the world.

I think Canterbury's success in rugby is partially due to this high quality water (not to mention fri nite violence and hooker murders too)
