Ok, this thing on trademe is almost certainly a whole lot of ripoff hocus pocus witchdoctor bullshit.

Question time everyone? Lets ask him genuine technical questions, and lets see if we can get him to 'splain how it works. Fun? No?

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"

    Whats an emery?

"--It also acts as a voltage stabilizer by storing emery for up to 10 seconds and therefore suppliers the load with constant voltage during momentary power surges. As a result, this power saver prolongs lifespan of the electrical appliances.--"

I wonder if they do a 6volt one that stops headlight bulbs blowing?

If it genuinely does change the power factor then it'd be good for people with shit power factor appliances, not sure how common they are, or what the chances are this does what it says it does.

It's to do with the way people are billed and the differences between volt amps, and watts. Wiki explains it good. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_f...bution_systems

An "emery". Shirt lifter, fudge packer.

From Dick Emery, deceased, cross dressing, camp British comedian. Catch phrase " Oooh, you are awful"

Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

That's what I thought after posting. It can contain a little comedian for ten seconds should it be subjected to a spike.

I think it says if your exhaust is to small or coked up the engine has to push harder to go anywhere so it costs more to do the same thing...maybe?
