    Nice one!

Maiden win in the F3's at the Nationals if I'm not mistaken.

Wow awesome day all round, well done Kirk. Is he still cashing in his chips at the end of this season though?

    Go the 450!!!

He had a pretty average time of it at Hampton Downs. When I saw him the bike was in lots of bits and not looking like it'd be racing again that weekend.

    Good effort.

Yep that's already happened. Bike is sold and cheque in pocket. No regrets or second thoughts just looking forward to a bit of adventure riding and getting my handicap down

Glad I said gidday at the track Kirk. The bike looked to be going very well and you rode it like a pro. You were in very good company at the pointy end of that field.

Thanks. I have sold it to someone in the north island, it will be raced at the winter series. I am not sure if the buyer wants everyone to know so will leave it up to her to decide who to tell.

Yeah good of you to say hi. Sorry I couldn't have talked for longer, on race day I can be quite rude sometimes!

I know what it's like mate and you didn't come across as rude at all. Looking forward to seeing the Ozzy 450 in someone elses hands. I still think these 450s are a good way to F3 racing. Really wish I hadn't sold my 600.

Please say it's a temporary thing......a racing sabbatical maybe? You just looked so smooth and so fast all weekend, was a blardy impressive display fella. Good to finally meet you and an awesome way to sign off.

Yeah dunno, a few days on and everything that happened is still sinking in. At this stage I will never say never but with my current job and living in Alexandra I wouldn't be able to give racing a crack 100% and I never do things half arsed. That is the primary reason for stopping, too far away from the tracks and too much annual leave/travel required to commit 100%. So unless I move to another city then the book is firmly closed, at the moment I am happy in Central Otago but will still keep an eye on the goings on of the NZ racing scene.

You don't have to move any where just redirect your efforts somewhere else. You live in a MECCA for moto-trials riders, what you have on your back door step.... some of us look forward to each year. 10 year in a row last year better riding than the 3 aussie champ events I've done, shame it was put off last month as a result of christchurch.
