If I want speed I have the bikes .. the Terrano's a workhorse .. we had a Nissan diesel ute as well, 2.3 diesel no turbo .. the best thing about it was that it stopped me getting speeding tickets .. a 6k straight down hill and it might get to 100ks ..

They're a great workhorse too, but yes, the old 2.3 non-turbo required a lot of patience! I had a Mazda 2.2 diesel van, the bigger bodied lwb one and while it was very comfortable to drive and could wind up to over 140, it took a long time to get there and died badly on the hills.

A slightly modernised Sprint is still a desirable, practical and quick road-car, as is the 2500S. I loved our old 1100 Mk1, it was great to drive, comfortable, cruised easily at 60mph and had the best headlights I'd ever experienced!

I'm a fan of the 2500S too, but, I must pay I preferred my '73 P6B V8 I really miss that car, was a nicer cruise than my '73 E12 BMW 5 series, although the BMW was a very fun wee thing to drive.
The 1100 are even surprisingly roomy!
