Upgrading factory airbox to 4 pod filters?

    Hey all.

Im looking at ripping out the standard airbox on my gsx 600f and sticking a pod filter on each of my 4 carbis.

Anyone know if this should work all sweet ?
I presume I'd need to adjust the carbi's to compensate for the increased air.
anyone able to tell me how to do this ?

    thanks !

Chances are you won't get much from it.
But, you'll have to change the main jets, idle jets, space the needles and in some cases different slide springs. Re-set the floats and hope they don't need changing, re-assemble it and sync the carbs just for that bit extra.

Depends on how well the stock airbox breathes, and how free flowing you exhaust is as to how well it will work. Less air volume and shorter intake lengths may be to your disadvantage in some parts of the rev range too. Then again, if you don't gain bugger all power from it, you probably won't need to rejet! And if you do need to rejet, it'll mean you have more power, win-win

    CV carbs...don't bother.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

That will be a downgrade, honest injun. Airboxes . . .ahh, just google it, but you won't get it to run right again.
