    New Tyres..mmmmm MMMMM!

New tyres! Nothing like new hoops to rekindle that feeling of invincibility!

Didn't have a chance to scrub the new ones in yesterday so took the vixen out this morning to attend to that task...

Scrub in? Well...to be honest, they felt like they were ready to go as soon as I got onto the road, so apart from a gentler throttle hand, I didn't really do anything very different from the usual.

After a little bit of local pootling to look at a couple of properties, I decided a quick fang over the hill to Raglan was in order. And that's when things got interesting.

You forget just how good that perfectly shaped tyre feels and how much difference it makes to the handling of the bike. The roll from one side to the other is just sooo easy and the prodigious grip of the BT 016 is totally confidence inspiring.

Coming home was even better (apart from idiots in cages creeping up the hill at snail speeds).

Worth the money every time. I doubt I'll wait for the belts to be showing next time I need new tyres...

Well, yeah, a bit of chicanery did go on...but there are places on that road where you do NOT want to be on the wrong side of the road...
