eek NZ250s Mystery box.....well it is to me...

I've been looking at a few photos of NZ250's on the net, and any that show the lower end of the airbox seem to show this box installed:

Mine is missing that box, but under that part of the airbox it has what seems to be a hose with a closed end installed....kind of like a drain hose but with the end sealed for some reason.

Now bearing in mind that the last air filter in the bike was perished beyond recognition due to either petrol or oil getting to it, I was wondering the lack of the mystery box has something to do with it.

(Thanks to the KB member who's pics I stole)

I don't know, but is it possible that it is the storage box for the toolkit?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

It's the storage box for the toolkit. Note how you cunningly need a screw driver to open it. A coin is supposed to work, but it just doesn't.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

I always found that a massive pain.. using a screwdriver just to get to your.. other screwdrivers.
