Thanks to everyone - great fun, and really neat meeting new people and getting to go on a good long ride. All up I did over 300km on Saturday!

WOW. There is one dude in one of those panorama shots that has only got half of his legs, amazing he can ride a bike.

During the cooler months they have the fire going inside and if its wet? just hang your gear around it, have a beer or coffee, something to eat etc. Its only 40 minutes from home so a nice easy obtainable venue at short notice.
The lookout? yes that be it, a must stop anytime on such a stunning day.
Used to go for a blat up there to the pub on the xr600 when i lived at pakiri.Up the beach to te-ari point and then the gravel to mangawhi. Awesome times.

No, I am still alive and kicking. We went last night instead (no Hornet Swarm for me), and she made me pay for the movie and gelato. *sigh*

Still, wouldn't have traded it for anything.
