Wil get some pics up soonish.
Wet at the Gaso first thing, but I dried a few seats off with my Chamois and they never got wet again.
Damn me buying a coffee/snickers at the Servo when I was informed soon after about the Gold award winning pies across the road...

Thanks for arranging an awesome ride - and yes the Pie was great. Good shout by the guys that ordered the pizza at shelley beach too - will be partaking in that next time!

Also thanks to all the other experienced riders that came along. I learnt a fair bit today - very much appreciated.

That was fun! The improvement in riding from the start to the finish was amazing. Thanks all, great turn out on a lovely day. The food at Shelley Beach is pretty yummy

Shelly Beach is always a great destination on sunny day.
Started out with the sign of rain behind us and had a dry run to the start.
Rain started about 9.45 but I was under cover gasing up.
It had stopped buy the time we were ready to leave.
As you can see in the 5th pic (they didn't load in order) the weather was finning up nicely behind us, which is where it was coming from.
The forecourt was wet but roads were dry.
Two riders (not drivers ) had only had thier bikes for a week.
A good steady easy pace was stuck to ensuring that the group ride was infact, a group ride
For the next time, I will put together another route so that each time the ride is different.
Thanks to all who turned out today, MadDuck and Mom for taking up the slack at the back..

I could not believe how wet you were when you first arrived at Dairy Flat. We got a few spits and that was all, dry ride all the way. I was singlet wearing by Parakai

We stopped back at the Pie Place on the way home, and still did not come home with butter chicken delights. Those pizzas looked very yummy, particularly yours. I like how you went for the healthy option and ended up with the cheese laden, fat dripping, yummy thang that arrived

Riding with noobs and returning riders can be a heck of a lot of fun. good on you for setting these up. The Welly rides wont fire up again until daylight savings starts, the wind down here can make things very hairy for noobs.
