Rode to Aka Sunday early morn with Mully, Stilo & a couple of others, came back via Gebbies & Dyers. Here is the situation: Aka road is fine all the way. Just take it easy within about 1 km either side of Hilltop as there's mild grit either side of car tyre tracks and between them. Gebbies is pretty good too - just wish they would sweep the new sealed bit on the hairpin properly. Take care on Dyers as it appears not to have been swept at all. I guess when you are only paying ~600 a year for rego, you can't expect the authorities to do anything to make it safer for bikers.

Thanks for the heads up CJ.

I rode Dyers to Gebbies and back round the bays to port this afternoon. There was some grit on the roads, enough to make life interesting on some corners. Hopefully we won't get any more snow, so the grit will dissappear with time.

Enjoyed the ride though. Been off the bike too long.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Thursday's weather is supposed to bring snow to lower levels. Friday will have sleety showers.

Sundays weather is supposed to be fine if a little chilly.

I could be tempted into a ride this weekend. Depends on my financial situation though. I'm already spending money I haven't been paid yet. Still one must eat

Awesome. 6 bikes (2 MT-01s, 1 Busa, 1 B-King, 1 GSXR 1000 & a brand spanking new XTZ 1200 Tenere). Fantastic conditions, nice lunch & amazingly, all the way there & back without a fuzz in sight.

If only I had known... it would have been great to catch up. The ride was organized Sat afternoon via the usual mates Txt network. If you want to be informed of other spontaneous adventures, pm me with your bat phone number.
