Great weather today so I was out today doing a bit of 2up gravel out past Little River etc.
There's already lots of lake flys out that way waiting to be collected by nice shiny fairings and the weather is supposed to be even better tomorrow but alas most my fuel is burned.

Hmmmmmmmmm. ......... Not working today. ............. Might head into BK and see if anyone turns up
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

What a nice day for a ride - unfortunately sold my bike yesterday and now I'm bikerless, but...............walked into Rolling Thunder yesterday and saw this amazing 1200 Nighster, I think I may just buy it!

Well the weather is perfect and I can state that there are only 14 lake flies left. The other 18 million committed Hare Kare on my bike and visor yesterday. For all those contemplating a squirt - there was a fuzz on a BMW cruising the Aka road Saturday and reportedly he pulled a couple of bikers. I've seen him a few times now in that general vicinity. Take it easy.

Not that I am offering of course, all criticism and no responsibility here
These aren't the bikes we're looking for....

Cool, bit of a change from the 250! Try a few bikes out though, bike shopping is the best part

Shopping for a new bike is definitely fun. Have decided to go for a cruiser. Rode the Kwaka Vulcan 900 (maybe go for a Vulcan Custom 900 - looks great), M50 and M90 and then passed by the Harley shop. Took a 1200 Nightster for a ride - I think I'm in love - never thought I'd like a Harley but the Nightster is one fun bike to ride.

I'm still in two minds though................

You're very lucky to be able to be in that situation! I think that once I took a Harley for a ride, providing it was the right one and a Nightster would definitely qualify, I too think I'd be in love.
I'll have one one day! Either something modern like that one or a classic chopper, something with unique character. If you remember my BMW you'll know what I mean

Good luck with the hunt! Am very jealous!

I can highly recommend the M50, have ridden one myself and know someone that may be selling theirs! Very nice ride and lots of power when needed!

I could not resist - I bought the Nightster (second hand though, 2008 model with only 3 000 km's on the clock). Fetching the bike on Saturday..............can't wait.

Anyone planning anything for tomorrow? Seems like the weather may be smiling on us...

(also, if it's just a "turn up" job, where now - BK @ 11 or otherwise?)
He who shall go stately at the back and not stress out.
So Gareth what was it you said about MaxF's "Funky ass curves"? - God, now I'm worried...

I'd be keen on a run to Akaroa.
