Now that the other guy's election campaign managers are unemployed we would like to offer them the following position...

    The National Party 2011.

I'd be interested to know the voting numbers and am sure a conspiracy theorist will be along soon with proof of how JT rigged the election.

I think that is close to 50% up on last time

National average for organisations such as MNZ is around 10% of membership. So MNZ is about right. Long way from the NELSON AGM several about 4 years ago when there was only 99 votes , so people are at least beginning to take some notice that MNZ is a member based organisation and you can have your say.

Hopefully its safe to assume that the on-line vote option helped get a few more votes in this time. Well done on making this happen MNZ.
Probably best to have the key positions voted for as part of the on-line license renewal. - but would means moving license renewal dates to 60days prior to voting date?

So long as membership renewal dates are not written into the constitution, so it can only be voted on at an AGM. So the idea is solid, but a minimum of two years away. Longer even, because that would first need to pass, before the submission of the renewal/vote could be tabled. And I think there is a minimum period for counter submissions to be made for and against.

Probably not the case, but a possibility.

Congradulations to Jim on keeping his role as president, & thanks to all who supported my bid for the job, at least quite a few voted this time. I didnt think this thread would get to 20 pages, yet 88 pages wow. Chris
