I was expecting to ask them for condoms or bubblewrap.

All I got was the above detail in an email so have no idea what it is but I expect you are right.

I am only going to turn up for the free coffee and snack and look at other bikes .

Although I commute up from the south to the CBD I'm going to go that extra mile next week and get me my ACC treats. I'll bring a santa sack and see how many 'breakfast snacks' I can get my hands on.

Accident Compensation Corporation. When we break ourselves they cover medical expenses etc to a part degree and cover some wages if you are off work due to injury (unable to earn your wedge of cheese).

We all pay ACC levies to cover these things in a variety of ways. They have a component in vehicle registration fees (annual payment) which in regards to Motorbikes has risen dramatically this last year, because they feel Motorcyclists are the greater threat and a suck on the ACC central fund more so that car drivers. You'll have no doubt seen those conversations too around here These ACC run events are trying to entice us cyclists out so they can "safteyise" us a little more and in my mind justify the elevated costs of our vehicle class acc levies.

Others wil likely have other opinions I'm sure.
