Dirt Ride next sunday July 3

Thats right folks i'm heading out for a blat out at woodhill hopefully next sunday so I though I would post it up and see if anyone one wants to come out have a blast. I'm willing to adjust my pace if your a grandpa rider but i'm not that quick really.hopefully there will be some

!

I really need to get the DT230 off road and see what it'll do...I've only ridden it 3 times,about 200km max.But the rego expires on the XT in a few days and it comes apart for it's transformation,the DT will be my road bike until the XT is running again.It's only a wheel and sprocket change to turn it into a dirt bike...but it's too soon after my move to get too involved.Rode in a trial on sunday,that was good fun.....maybe a sat arvo gravel road ride north is on the cards,I'm itching to scratch dirt!

Why don't you enter Greg Power's event on Sunday (see notice posted in Upcoming Events). I'm pretty sure there is a class for solos (the no friends class!). Was when I did it - solo was 2 hours instead of 3 for the two-man classes (check with Greg). Great fun and no pressure to be BT.

I haven't ridden in ages and I don't feel at race fitness so I just need a good practice ride to get me back into the swing of things.

Change of plans. I will now be at Woodhill or Ardmore MX track. I'm hoping Ardomore becuase Woodhill is always choppy especially at the old park. any one intrested. details by phone or PM or i will try keep this up to date. 0212152143

I didn't end up riding, managed to sell my '96 and buy a '01 all in one weekend!

Got it all apart on sunday ready for a well needed tidy-up.

It was a great ride out at Ardmore. I got there early and had to wait for a while as the track was beening groomed (even though it was supposed to open at 10 but i was there about 10:10 and still not opened). The track was nice and loamy and easy to ride in the morning but it got very busy in the afternoon with faster riders and more bikes on the track. Very nice track though and I can't wait till summer when the track opens on a wednesday so i will bugger off after school with my old man for a ride.
