basically it was about the fisherys/police doing a raid on some chaps who had been poaching pauas to the tune of thousands of $$$$ a week, it seems the bad men were mostly dark skinned gentlemen engaged in raping the kia moana and selling it to asian fish restaurant owners who had amnesia regarding said paua. One large dark skinned gentleman objected to being woken from his beauty sleep at 8am just to have his place searched for paua and paua poaching utensils. the upshot was several people involved were lashed with a soggy bus-ticket and got a few hrs community service and some shite jap imports were impounded, thankfully no one lost their dole entitlement and the large dark skinned gentilman can sleep in way past 8am when most of us are toiling away at the coal face
