    Remember that they have some seriously dangerous game there as well. Bears, cougar, snakes, etc. A canadian workmate carried a .44 magnum revolver with a 2" barrel as a "last option" bear defence.

    Yup, using solid slugs (for deer, bear etc) a good shotgun used by a good shooter can regularly hit a 4" (100mm) circle at 100 yards.

    Some shotguns can be fitted with a special slug barrel that has a slow twist rifling at the forward end of the barrel to enhance accuracy.

    BTW: Slug load kick way harder than your average duck-shooting load.

    Sensible shooters as well, just look at the amount of people with fingers on the trigger Vs correctly extended along the action and NOT touching the trigger!

    Ah thankyou. I was very puzzled as to how that weapon could be a 50cal. 40mm grenade makes much more sense. Now, where's Bruno Mars when you need him?
