Think I'll reverse the usual arangement, make the tube set rotate around a central striker/s. That way I can call the tune.

I can mount a vertical axis windmill on the top of the tube set to drive it, with a governor.

How many notes in a full rendition of Mike Oldfields "Tubular Bells"?
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon

NO NO NO! Morris never had his mast in Marina. Well that's what Marina said anyway.

...best wind chime I've ever come across was the frame and scales from a piano hung about twenty feet up in a gum tree...sounded like all the banshees wailing at once...glad I didn't live near it...

Borrow an electric guitar tuner and ensure perfect pitch. Nothing worse than 'reletitvely' in tune but not actually.

There was an installation in the gardens close to the ChCh art gallery. It was done by an artist who made birds out of old car parts. They were on a sort of wand and had old car horns fitted. When the wind blew the bits would complete the circuit - but not perfectly - and would make plaintive gooselike squawks.

    Nice
