Out of curiosity, what milage do you get out of a rear PR2?

Impossible to drag peg in wet on any kind of semi sporty bike in the rain. Not enough grip. Knee down is barely achievable on road tyres in wet, let alone peg.

BIKE reported that they got knee down in puddles with the PR3. Mind you, I think the surfaces they test on may be very different to what we ride on?

I really have no clue how some of you guys manage to get this kind of mileage on your tires. I love the PR2's but usually get about 9000Kms. Bike came with Bridgestone that I only got 5500kms.

My SVS used to get 14000 on PR2's. The GSXR gets 9000 out of BT016's...

I've done just over 2000k on mine and they feeling great and wearing very well, the rear hasn't feathered as much as the PR2 did at the same milage and if anything I am riding the 3's harder than I did the 2's

I didnt realize how fucked my PR2's until I had the 3's put on.
When I looked at them closely is a wonder they went around at all...
Could done without that extra expense right now but what the hey?
Cant put a price on safety.

Interesting, read in a skim over of an artical in a UK mag that they thought in the dry the Road 2's might have a teeny weeny edge in grip but the wet weather performance on the Road 3's was awesome and considerably better than the 2's.

That's the good thing about the 2's I reckon apart from the wear rates and general performance is that you don't reeaally notice drop off's in performance until the end of their life unlike say the Pirelli Angel's I tried which started out really well but degraded quite rapidly into rubberized puss!
It's only really when you put fresh tires on that it really strikes you how the Road 2's had fallen away from the state when new. Even then they are not a horrible tyre.
