Yeh you get those sort of days on the big jobs!

You got some cans or just going to run it loud?

They look kinda cool and should just drop straight on.

Thats about as much of a Dunstall replica as I am a replica of superman.... ie th parts are in roughly the same place but the level of functionality is very different.

Got the bar end mirrors on tonight, look cool. Will post a pic tomorrow when I get back to my computer. Pipes arrived today but fuck, when I quickly measured up my pipes the other day I got 40mm so ordered mufflers with a 40mm inlet. Tried to put them on and ofcourse my header pipes are actually about 41mm. Back to the drawing board

Just fired her up. Sounds awesome (no cans on it yet). Looks like a couple of fuel leaks around the carbs tho. Put one of the mufflers on but the other header pipe has a slightly different diameter (less than a mm in it!) so wouldn't go on. Just need a seat and some paint now (plus fix the fuel leaks, the fork oil seals and try and figure out why I keep blowing fuses!)

My daughter and I are doing it as a cafe project and are just in the process of pulling it apart. My question is, how to get the engine / case looking like new without stripping it down? It's just that the motor really purrs and I don't like messing with a good thing!

Also, what's the best way to deal with the frame - I'm assuming sand blast and powder coat?

I cleaned all the old grease etc off it (using a cheap degreaser from Supercheap), then wire brushed it, anti rust primer and then just spray painted. Don't know how long it'll last but seems okay.

Anybody know how I go about replacing these spark plug covers - doesn't look like it comes off (don't want to force it unless I'm sure it actually comes apart). I don't have to replace the whole coil do I?

Does it not just screw onto the lead?

Got the short sorted so now have brake lights. And the carbs seem to have stopped leaking all by themselves, go figure. Got the other muffler on thanks to the guys at Pit Stop who did their thing to it so it would fit. So just paint and seat to do but as they're going to be the most expensive parts they might have to wait till after Xmas I think. Bugger.

Last pics until it's finished (ie: when I have some more money) with both cans on.
