Just saying "Hello"
Found this site via U Tube and really liked the terrain you guys ride, it must be good to have vast areas to ride, we are a bit restricted here in the UK. I live 30 miles SW of London and mainly ride Surrey and Hampshire Byways (ancient roads un-made)

Velkum! We are all sane, trustworthy and intelligent on here...
NZ is a biker's paradise and you really can't ride any road without enjoying the ride immensely! We ride all year round without the need to "Winterise" or store our bikes away.
We love seeing pics of other's bikes and rides so do post them up!
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.

I know your neck of the woods quite well and there is some great riding out your way too. I moved to NZ from Frimley and spent a lot of time too and from Fratton Park to be tortured watching Pompey getting beaten (not my team, but my business partners.)
Riding in NZ is a s good as it gets. There's no traffic at all (reletively speaking). Pack your suitcase and head over.

I actualy live in Bisley (Queens Rd), one of my favorite short blasts is to Frimley and back across Tunnel Hill.

What happens then? do you have to keep turning round and riding the same stretch, or does that 1 mile lead into another section? Damn we must be spoilt here, my favorite track takes about 4-5 hrs with a real mix of mud,creeks,rock,gravel road.Lots of 4x4s use the greenlanes hence the condition of some of them, but thats how we like it, the sloppy lane is nicknamed sh!tsville it is about 1 mile long and up hill all the way

To get a full days ride you have to take a map and link up the "lanes" with tarmac roads, no where as good as NZ. You soon learn that it is a good idea to get an invite from someone from a different area so they can lead the ride and you don't waste time fumbling with a map. In return you invite people to the area you know and lead a ride for them.
It must be such a treat to ride for hours without doing tarmac.

Hi Thirsty,
I used to work in Bisley (and shoot at the range down there as well) still in contact with a couple of friends down that neck of the woods, one of whom is into his Goldwing, lived in Redhill meself before making the move to this great country!
