What colour numbers/boards for 89-posties jr?

MNZ rules list them like this:

    Classic and Post Classic:
Up to 250cc Dark Green background, white
    figures
Up to 350cc Blue background, white figures
Up to 500cc Yellow background, black figures
    Open Red background, white figures

But how does that relate to the Post Classics Jr/Sr classes - pre-89, pre82 etc? Going by the above, bikes in the same race class can have different number colours?

Actually, looking through the club round pics from posties - doesn't look like it really matters!

The colours are as MNZ rules. They indicate the capacity of the machine only not the class. So yes if they run classes together there will be different colours on the track at the same time eg pre 82 up to 600cc could have colours for 250,350,500 and open all together in the same race.

The pics may also include cross entered bikes from say F3 as well so take that into account.

i used yellow number board with black numbers on my ZXR400 as i took this as being as per the regulations, and the Snr bieks were red background with white numbers as per the regs. there's always someone who goes off on their own buzz but i didnt want to take a chance.
    Sorry Officer - I wasn't speeding, i was qualifying...

Yep- That's the conclusion I came to in the end. Which is handy because coming from F2 I already have black numbers and yellow backgrounds
