    Thank you MR!

    What a fantastic ride!
Weather was spectacular most of the day except for the thick and fog through Hunua on the way down. Roads were a little damp in places until we reached Whangamata, by that time all the roads were fairly dried out. Had a delicious lunch at Whangamata (I heard that the lunch lady got a little stressed with the influx of KB customers?) and rode through to Waihi where we gassed up and returned back along the same awesome twisty roads!

Good to ride again with the KB crew. Around 21 bikes turned up at The ABahn. Was great to ride again with some familiar faces. From memory there was MR, Loosebruce, Quasi (nice green machine u got there!), V Twin Raver & Co. (nice Fireblade Mal, and good to see your partner along), JSG, Saslex (hungover...sheesh!), MikeL, SPman, Paco (be great to see some of that video footage dude!), aff-man (welcome back to bikes!), GixerBoy, NinjaBoy, dveus, 6Chris6, dss3, mv-senna, enigma51 (sorry about your mishap at the Autobahn!), Warr, oldfart, slob, stifarms (sorry to hear about your puncture man), et al.

Just got home after being on the bike for over 7 hours and am totally satisfied with my weekly fix! I'll sleep like a log 2nite.

    Highlights:
MR being stopped by the fuzz for having his knee down! jk
The sound (& look) of Loosebruces new Two Brothers pipe. Oh and a few nice wheelies from him too!

Zed's rider of the day: Warr for his overtaking expertise on his 1984 Yamaha XJ900!

Until the next KB ride guys & gals!

We lunched at Whangamata. Whitianga was way too north from where we were riding. Good to hear you rode the loop JSG, I must eventually ride it myself!

You're not f'n wrong there mate, you did bloody well on that thing, nice riding mate.

Nice to meet oldfart and your mate on the R1, and all the usual faces to go along with that. Was a killer doing that ride then having to go to work which i just got home from now, has been a long day. But a good one, roads were good, still with the cold not alot of grip out there even in the dry compared to the hotter weather.
Dss3 and me had a good blast into Waihi and then on the way back he took the gixer for a blat, i'm sure he'll fill you in, but on our way into Whangamata we both saw a group of gixers 2x1000 and 1x600 heading the other way and in our rush to swap bikes, turn around and chase em down all i heard from him was fuck thats awesome i'm buying................. and we took off on a mission only to find them stoped just round the corner, but they were a good bunch and akld based so they said they will check out the site and hopfully come out a few rides with us. Just what this site needs more gixer riders.

    till next time.

Always nice to see you riding mate - that wheelie you pulled overtaking that black Mercedes was awesome ....

Another highlight was when I was maxed out fully crunched up on my bike doing a measly 150 and zed pull up riding with one hand on the bars- waves at me and takes off as if I was doing 50.......... .......that was funnny.........

(Note - clear straight wide open road - in the middle of no where with no traffic or driveways or off roads)

    Cheers for the ride everyone!

It is a shame about the incident at the begining of the ride but oh well...

I ended up having a ball! Still getting used to the 400 and it feels quite very awkward but I need more time. Then after jumping back on my bro's 750 on the way back I was so much more relieved.

It was pretty cool to get pulled over by a cop for going around a 85K corner at about 150 or 160 and not get a ticket. I thank my luck stars for that one! (he basically didn't have his radar on so he couldn't do me for anything, plus I was very honest and polite so he didn't try to hassal me further).

I woke up at 6:30AM yesterday, went to a mate's place on the shore, went on the ride on the little 400 all the way to Waihi and blasted back to Auckland with the fast boys, then I got to work straight away till midnight, then I went over to see a mate till 3:30AM. So yea, pretty long day yesterday for me so I"ll take it easy for today. I'll prolly go and clean the bike since its a nice sunny day.

It was good to see you all yesterday.

P.S. Impressive riding on the GSX250, Deveus!

Yes it was you - just after we came out of the foggy patches.... I remember it clearly -

It looked so weird - you must have been doing a fair rate of knots - but looking at you - it seemed as though you were doing 40kmph.....

I was at the back of the pack for the entire ride - when you guys turned south to Whangamata and I kept going till Whitianga......
