Ignition for CB XL SL 100

I'm in the process of starting an F5 build and have a motor or two lined up. The missing piece of the puzzle at the moment seems to be the ignition.
Has anyone used the following bits from Newmanz? and if so do they easily fit into one of these motors and do they require a battery?
I want to get away from the 30 year old 6V points ignition that requires a battery if at all possible. Partly because it looks like a weak link and partly because it seems to be the bit that is always missing from these engines.
