Arrow NZ Bucket Racers' web site with photos?

At Tokoroa (10th April 2011), Stephen B. (the organiser of the awesome event) suggested I think about creating a NZ bucket list web site with names, faces and racing shots. I have heaps of racing photos from around the North Island but would need to take the face-with-bike shots. I also realise that it will take time commitment from me and some riders might also not want to be listed. I have thought about it, and after reading about the Aussie site today, in the "Wellington Easter Buckets two-day meet" thread, I'll agree to do it if people want it.

I will only use Flickr.com as I use it often and know it well – I can also achieve a better photographic result than the Aussie site (IMHO).

I expect some will be keen and others not - please let me know on this thread. I can arrange it in a way that riders can opt out in advance (via email), rather than see themselves listed and have to request removal. I've probably also not considered many other issues.

    Regards

    Damien

    Good idea Damien.
I don't want a picture of me off the bike, so a glass of wine would be fine as a profile pic (Pinot Gris or Rose), or a bottle of rum hahaha

    Sounds cool, very MotoGP esk.
Yeah I'm in, even though most bucket people seem to know who I am by now (Pamela and Rangi fame I suspect). As long as I can vito any photos taken of my "bad side"
Thanks in advance for putting your hand up to put this together Damien.

I think its a good idea.
Can the photos go on the existing bucket racing web site to help keep things together.

The more central the info the better. Go the bucketracingnz site.

All good suggestions but in the too hard basket for me. It won't be anything like Visordown, which is a great site. Riders could use Visordown and maybe put a link to their photo on Flickr.

It will just be a very simple flickr "Set" link if it happens at all. Other bucket sites could provide a link to it. This is not my idea - it was Stephen B's (PMCC) . Stephen suggested Facebook. I don't use Facebook much so it will be just a composite picture on Flickr (rider racing with maybe mug shot embedded) with rider name under it. Riders can add additional text comments if they want to provide more info.

I could put something on the Bucket Website. Set it up on Flickr and I can 'pinch' the info from there. Only problem is I'll need a bit of time to set it up. I'm thinking people will need a log in so they can change the info as needed. Not to hard to do though.

    Your thoughts?

No one wants to see pictures of Bucket Racers! They're all deformed troglodytes who only socialise with other troglodytes, provided the other troglodytes bring beer and pickled onion and egg sandwiches. I haven't met one with a full set of teeth yet. Or clean underwear.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
