Treads have a deal for a Bt016 front and a BT002 ST/RS rear for $390, seems cheap as chip to me. Put the Front away for next time or flick it on for some coin.

sounds good man but I'll hold out for a while- preferably looking for a second hand rear if someone has got one lying around.

Got a rear that has 2+ mm in middle, and about 1.6-1.7 in the shoulders. Definitely get you a warrant. BT016.

    Just a thought....

Try Drury tyres, their performance tyre place. Ask for a second hand tyre etc. Many of us wouldn't bother with second hand tyres so I'm assuming $ is a challenge. Outside of that post on KB in the general forum in case someone is getting new tyres and is happy to let you have they're not too bad second hand one.

I'd be happy to let you have my old tyre if I was changing tyres.

Can a 190 go on a 600 no worries without modification?

There are a lot of second hand 190's but no 180s... I know quite a few people race 600's with 190.

Yes your bike will fit a 190/55 but there are other profiles ie. 2nd number -55 which you need to check.

ok so i need a 55 profile. will the stability of the bike be ok since the bigger tyre is tipping weight towards the front end? also is the weight of the tyre much more than a 180?

maybe some racers shed some light on this.

    Just PM'd ya back buddy.

50 V's 55 profile is an aspect ratio.

The 55 profile does two things, gives a minimal ground clearance improvement and a bigger contact patch at full lean.
The front tyre that goes with it is a 'V' profile again giving a bigger contact patch at maximum lean without changing the aspect ratio of the tyre.

Yours to try if you like them pay for them if you don't give them back..........you'll like them
