I have for sale a complete RS250 rolling chassis.
It is advertised on eBay.com.au, just search Honda RS250.
Anyone wanting to build that killer F3/Sportbike race bike would do worse than to start with a Grand Prix chassis.
Has '89 model forks and an '87 model fibreglass fuel tank on it.
Comes complete with freshly painted fairings.

Sold my 92 RS250 for $6500.00 back around 94 here. It's all they were worth then, as no one wanted them. Wish I still had it!! Worth a whole lot more than that now...

Well, all depends on your interpretation of 'production'.
These really are production machines, production race machines. They most certainly are not prototypes.
What part must the machine be 'based' on? The chassis or the engine?
How much of the engine?
I know that The Two Stroke Shop is building 2 and maybe 3 400cc 2-T bikes based on their 2 cyl engine that has Yamaha Banshee bottom end in the Aprilia RS250 chassis.
How production is that? They have been passed as OK by MNZ apparently.
No, I don't think the frame is wide enough for the 4 cyl V engines, but it might be.
There is a couple of early RS250s on eBay at the moment looking at GBP5000 and more. There is a niche market for these machines now because they are so rare.

As long as there production Yamaha cases its fine. No billet after market ones allowed. Can be in any frame

Yip,But dont be fooled into thinking you could buy an RS chassis and bolt an NSR motor into it,Ive researched and actually tried a pair of NSR cases in a spare NF5 rolling chassis I had and while it could be done,It wouldnt simply bolt straight in,All the engine mounts are in the wrong place and theres no cutaway in the frame for the kickstart mount in the cases.
