    D.D.G. was more of a hit than R.T.G. in the UK, with its in-your-face accent and lyrics. R.T.G. was more polished pop, for the U.S. market.

    Lets not overlook the quality Aussie contributions;

    The Newcastle song and Shad uppa ya face. I can't take the risk of searching for them on youtube and accidently viewing them.

    I don't know if these artists actually had another significant hit but I sure hope they didn't.

    Newcastle Song was grouse 'don't you ever let a chance go by..." but Shaddupyouface was nothing special
    it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

    OK I've missed a few pages of this thread, I'm sure some pedant will point if this one has been up already...I was mowing the fairways in the dark & in the rain yeterday...the rain was falling through the high level spotlights like a curtain of diamonds...then I remembered the Narcs...I had a mate in the band...then I remembered about Janine Saundercock & her band whoever they were...they had a hit (in England) with their song Sitdown & standup...then I remenbered The Suburban Reptiles...Saturday night stay at home
