    Support Ok, I give up, what is this device?

    I noticed this extra gas cyclinder thingy on Stroudy and Bobbies bikes at the nationals this year. What does it do? Some kind of anti-dive thingy?

    It's a linear potentiometer. Just a sensor for measuring fork travel data and hooked up to a logger.

    You learn something new everyday. Rather clunky for a relatively simple task, would be way cooler with freak'n lazerbeams!

    Not all that simple of a task, they collect a fair bit of data that is usefull for alot of things suspension and braking related, which can make a big difference in improving lap times, OR show you exactly why you were off the pace etc etc

    Suspension stroke measurement

    These are supplied by Race Supplies www.racesupplies.co.nz and data is logged by a 5 channel GPS equipped data logger also available from same.
