Hubba with a Rubba advert...

Not sure if this has been brought up before but the homepage seems to be missing the search bar at present.

This campaign is bullshit, it fucks me off everytime I see it but I would like to know if anybody can understand the bullshit rapping and what is said? I can make out the 'if you don't have a rubba there will be no hubba hubba' part, but what is said before that?

Also anyone notice how they repeat the phrase 'hubba hubba' twice at the end after the full catchphrase, man that part cracks me up.

Actually the add fucks me off some majorly - they spend a stupid amount of money on it, which we pay for - why dont they just show people dieing of aids and have 'Dont be a fucken idiot'.

Wouldnt of heard of this sort of shit back in the day, but what fucks me off more is the 2 dudes. Ok I'm not gay and I dont particulary have anything against them other than a certain incident that tristan is aware of (he isnt gay but yea). But I dont want to be put of my fucken dinner by seeing two guys going at it fuck that pissed me off.

Well if they want an advert that will work they need to flash images of STIs or STDs whichever is the correct damn term at present. Ie flash a nice big picture of genital herpes etc and then a condom. The words could go something like 'you will get this if you don't use one of these' or 'so use one of these and you won't get this'

Heard a news report a week ago or so that suposedly that add has actually caused more cases of the dieseases (sp?)

As for the actuall rap part of it. I doubt there are actuall words within that other than "it's on" "It's hot you're goin for what I got" and then the hubba hubba part.

Kinda feels like it would be patronising to those that are "hip hop" inclined.

I don't see how the ad (as lame as it is) couldn't of increased STD's. Condom's an't 100% and they can't stop everything, but some protection is better then none I guess.

the ad is disgusting when there are 2 guys, and the campaign doesn't really get much of a message across... It's a waste of money!

I had heard that for certain age groups the advert was actually working. I say good on them for trying something different. I would rather see something like that than the 'speed kills' adverts.
Can someone explain this to me.. You dont have a problem with a guy and girl kissing when your eating your dinner, but your disgusted by two guys kissing.. Why?

You have to admit it's a catchy tune though but I haven't heard anything about it's effectiveness. I would assume it's a little earlier to get any conclusive eveidence about it...how can an ad campaign increase STD's anyway and how would they be able to prove that? Sounds like a bit of a myth to me.
