750Y; I am looking for a lifestyle block for two reasons. First is that I think it is more healthy lifestyle and I enjoy living in peace and quiet. Auckland is giving me a headache. Second is that I think land is more valuable in the future. I was only joking about teh hardwork. I dont mind abit of hard work. Just wanted a lifestyle change.

I had a patch of land up Northland where I was growing Macademia (sp) and Olive trees. Had to stick a barrier around them when they was small due to animals graizing. But they came away really well and I never bothered with and protection from frosts, but it was close to the sea and I'm not sure if they ever had any. Go for it Winja, if I'd not parted with it along with the ex, then I'd probably have that new Blade I want, right now...

didn't realise there was that much avocado in there! my nan would sometimes send me to get some & put the money in the honesty box.
as for the prices, yep the place is a going ridiculous but it's not hard to see why.. I'm looking at building soon myself... just sussing the access to the spot which'll be a challenge(vertically).

Last year I nearly bought a 5 acre block up North in Opononi. Wanted to build a house on it later. But then things happen and have to delay my lifestyle block purchase later, maybe next year. Anyway, Opononi is ages away from Auckland, 3.5-4 hours drive.
