It was almost a Susan Boyle moment when the judges heard he was doing a Whitney Houston song. The boy can sing but I don't think he's as good as the judges said he was.

He's being splashed all over TV here at the moment, which is just enthralling...

I was pretty impressed, for a 14 year old to have that pitch range and to make such a difficult key change so easily. Though you never know how long he's been practising the one song. That's why the idol shows are usually pretty good (not that I can stand watching them), you have to have real talent to do a song well within a week, rather than a song you've sung since you were a little boy.
