    Hardly 'rabbiting on'.
Therein lies the problem. This thread is about gear that saved my arseNOT how I had my accident.
And whilst it may hardly be "rabbiting on", it is not on thread subject and was clearly a dig about whose "fault" the accident was. And that my old sausage, is why you keep getting an elbow in the ribs from me......
I havent laid blame on anything or anyone else, nor sought sympathy(I only gave facts about road surface etc, I havent said anything about whether it was my fault or not)yet you and your mate keep loading the bluderbuss and firing indiscrimanantly at anyone that does have an accident.
I thought my thread may explain why good gear is important, maybe help someone who rides in fingerless gloves, t shirts or sandshoes......but nup.....youve gotta put your oar in

Well actually John, in the context of the sentence below you're indicating that they're one in the same.

    Please excuse my confusion.

And a very worthy subject it is, well illustrated by your OP.
As for the hows and whys you dropped your bike - I was happy to not go there (for the most part). Certainly at that stage, anyway. Others led the way, so I'm not responsible for taking it there.
Just to really mix it up, the whole thing is a package deal...the conditions one is riding in, how one is riding, how much attention is being paid, the kind of bike, the gear one is wearing. That was what I was saying here

There's a big difference between me and KM on that score. He believes that gear is not that important in the scheme of things, but I do. Wearing it is your last line of defence if for any reason it all goes tits up. How it saved you should be proof enough of that.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Just to clarify (once again).........

I believe ATGATT is secondary to having the correct attitude as far as trying to ensure our own safety is concerned.

"Not that important in the scheme of things" is, once again, twisting my words.

    Argh.
My fault. Often the two words are used interchangably. I was trying to show the nuance between them.

No substance.... Still, no answer as to what your contributions to this thread have to do with the OP.
Theres just nothing......your opinion is useless, in fact your whole worthless input into anything I have seen so far is useless.....
