Thread: Front wheel spacers. Which way?

    FFS, try fitting a finger between the brake disc and the fork leg on each side.

    If your finger goes in the same distance on both it will be fine.

    And +1 on what Kickaha said - you don't sound like a mechanic's arse.

    As a general rule, when you pull out an axle you would take particular note of which way around AND which side of the bike they go. If the wheel is to be off for any amount of time, simply thread the spacers, adjusters, washer etc back onto the axle, in order, so you can take the guess work out of it on refitting. But this would apply to any mech stuff esp gearboxes where it is a major to retro fix.

    yeah i had it all apart but didnt plan on it being left over night as it was and the next day i completely forgot which pile was what
