[QUOTE=hmurphy;1130063284]What!? I don't have an FXR motor bored out to 156cc with hot cams in an aluminium ZXR frame with fully adjustable front suspension and 2/3 adjustable rear suspension. Oh wait I do. My turn to have the best bike. Suck it.

Nice job Hamish. Hope you get some more nylon on befor the next meeting. Would be a bummer to not be able to ride to best bucket in Wellington!

Cheers. Yeah I need to nylon the front axle on both sides then it should definitely have enough nylon. Maybe under the rear brake lever too.

The engine looks to be more leant forward than normal. Or is a photographic illusion thing? Now that you have talked this new creation up so big. You will have to soundly beat us all every race.

Let me know if you want me to come around and look at it before the next round to make sure we are both on the same page re nylon
It's not what you ride but how you ride it!!

. . and to drop some sugar in the tank.

Right we need to get Sketchy back to keep some of you boys honest. Saw him halfway up a muddy bank yesterday looking way too chipper & walking back to help a mate while I was considering a coronary.

Yeah cheers fish I might be keen for that. It has a lot of nylon already if the photos don't prove so. I have put it on its side on both sides and the nylon seems ok.

Yes it is leaning forward slightly more (not as much as it might look in the photos) than it is supposed to but that is being changed very soon and is believe it or not a very quick fix.

Yes I have talked the bike up and I am aware of the fact I have to step up or I deserve plenty of shit haha. When I rode Glen's bike I was doing the same lap times I do on my FXR and I hadn't started pushing it yet. It handled so damn well, didn't wobble like mine haha.

I would also like to talk to you fish about the suspension, I have never had adjustable suspension before and I don't know what to do and you have the same bike. I would also like to talk to you Rich about the FXR motor cos mine isn't tuned all that great and I am sure you know a few tricks!

well only gurls have soft suspension so just wind the adjusters & preload full in. Thats's how real racebikes are. Also they need lot of gas. Gas contains the energy so the more the better. Try a 2mm drillbit through the jets. I wouldn't put you crook.

Solid advice for the Dave. If you want I can help you tune your bike. Looks like it is all carb stuff. Needs to be done on the track. I also need to run my new engine in on the track hint hint back scratch and all that to the guy with a key.

Sounds good Rich, you the man. You should get a membership though, makes it the same price to race all year there with the added advantage of being able to go to the track whenever you like with someone who has a key.

Dave, I must be drilling the holes wrong because the motor doesn't run now. I might try increasing the bore on the carb by putting it in a lathe or drill press. That should increase the air flow with the increased fuel flow.

Nah mate, we're getting into my top secret tuning here, but velocity is where its all at. Can't have a slow carb to make a bike fast can you? So have to get that inlet speed up through the carb. Try blocking it up a bit [soft voice] use an old sports sock, it will reduce the area & also introduce some methane gas into the mix. its only cheating if yer found out.
