Biking vicar sets "world's fastest hearse" record!

Biking Vicar Ray Biddiss has set the world record for a motorcycle hearse carrying a coffin.

Reverend Biddiss, 57, recorded 114.1mph on his custom-made motorcycle hearse, built around a Triumph Rocket III. He said it was a “real buzz” to smash the target, which was set at ‘just’ 80mph, adding, “I have never taken it to that sort of speed. It was very stable. The only problem was the side wind, which was making it interesting at that speed.”

Rev. Biddiss developed the hearse in conjunction with DTB Panther Trikes in Liversedge, to provide an alternative funeral for bikers or non-bikers who just want something different. He said bikers will not be able to take their final journey at 114mph, but would be able to “Do little bursts of speed. It can accelerate very quickly from a stand still to a legal limit, which is exciting in itself!”

The record has to be ratified by the Guinness Book of Records.

    The mind boggles.

    And the legs.

In fact pretty much everything boggles.

Early 80's edition of Two Wheels had a pic of a guy on a scooter in Indonesia. On the back was a bandaged mummy sittin on the pillion seat, arms tied around the rider.

Turns out he got paid $5 a corpse to deliver from the local hospital to the family.

Dont think he would've got up to 80 tho, not on a Honda cub.

Guess being a courier rider isn't the only way to make a living on a bike.

Wonder how fast it would go if you stuck it on the side of a Hayabusa...
