Wanted - Cheap motorbike for commuting

I’m looking for a cheap, reliable motorbike to use for commuting to work, (from Johnsonville into the central city).

Anything considered, although if it’s a scooter, it probably needs to be over 100cc, to get me up the gorge.

Didn’t want to spend more than $1300

when you say "up the gorge" do you mean Ngaio or Ngauranga?

If the latter - you want a machine capable of at least 70kph (speed limit being 80kph). Any less and you risk being dog tucker outside peak hours.

    Maybe this?

I would have a guess about the actual condition of the bike being quite average, so it might be best to check it out yourself.

And at $1200, it's within the price range you mentioned.

I recently sold a GB400 and a shitload of parts for a grand. One of those would be ideal. Wellington to Levin on 7 bucks of gas.

That guy with the so called GX400 has no idea what his bike is and can't even read the model letters off the side cover Offer him $900 but beware they were not one of yamahas best models.
