Cog WTB: FXR bits you don't need for your bucket

Hopefully someone has some FXR bits they've removed for a bucket conversion that they're willing to part with for my non-bucket FXR:

    Belly pan mounts.
I got hold of the belly pan (was missing when i bought the bike) but nothing at the front end to mount it to... and rear mounts maybe missing a piece as well...

Windscreen. Top-right corner of mine (and the fairing) are broken off by a previous owner.

And a GN250 carb to go on it...

If you can help or point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated!

I can help, dont waste your time converting to a GN carb! The GN was anything but a performance bike, its a CV carb for crying out loud. Actually its a great modification for Kart track racers as it allows the rest of us to blow by them exiting corners.

I beg to differ, the GN carb might not be the best option and definitely isn't as good as the 28mm OKO I have on now but it is a big improvement over standard. I was running one when I got kicked out of B grade and in fact up until a couple of months ago.

I had typed a long winded reply but at the end of the day if people think a CV carb from a cheap and nasty commuter is a performance upgrade then so be it.

Yeah but its a bigger CV carb from one cheap and nasty commuter to upgrade the small CV carb from another cheap and nasty commuter.

You can make fairing mounts out of strips of alloy. (around 3mm thick, or thinner steel, but you have to paint that).

Just cut wee strips and drill a hole in each end.

They can be bent to fit.

You can drill and tap one end with a 6mm thread if you are able to but a 6mm hole and a nut on the other side will do.

Sure, but where is the front end of the belly pan intended to mount to? There's nothing obvious on my bike anyway.

The stndard mounts are a couple of steel things that bolt to the front of the motor. If you are making your own pick any likely looking spot.

If you get really stuck I can have a look see at mine and measure up bits for you if you want it perfect. Shouldn't be too hard.

Yeah that would be good, photos of how it's supposed to mount would make it even better!

Decided the flush the brake fluid today, and as a result needed to drill out one of the screws holding the top on the front master cylinder. Brilliant, now I need another one of those too. Any suggestions?

    Pretty standard stuff.
M4 countersunk cap screw of the right length from any fastener supplier will work. and probably cost you about 20 cents.

Thanks. I haven't been 'tinkering' long enough to have figured out all the sources, yet...

If it isn't plated its a good idea to paint the top of it.
