really? best drop I've seen is a few secs, maybee 10% at best. Still nothing warranting the price, I'd (like most) would rather stick with cheaper price & larger space (after all the latter is usually why we're upgrading

Interestingly the download speed was dramatically slower (haven't read into why this is or even have the foggiest) but the install speed was significantly increased.

Here's the link to the main article. Granted a lot of the results show only a slight increase, however in many cases it is well over 10%, heading towards 30%. Maybe not quick enough to warrant the extra money currently but worthwhile when the price comes down, bear in mind though when playing a game like GT5 '3 seconds' here and '10 seconds' here all add up.

In the vid you will see the load time for the default HDD is 30.1s, whereas the SSD has a load time of 20s.

well seems it does add decent performance in certain areas on GT5 but still can't seeing myself ever getting one for the PS3 not with the cost associated with them anyways
