Angry Dufus & the flat battery

Okay, so this fella, let's call him Dufus, popped his race bike in the van last night and forgot to take the key out as he normally would after a race meeting. So when he got it home today, the battery was as flat as a flat thing

So the big question for all you people 'in-the-know' is... will putting this battery on a trickle charger have any negative effect on the new Power Commander that has been fitted to said bike?

Dufus would be grateful for any feedback you have. Fank ewe

I don't believe it should have any issue.

However, since the battery is flat... like real flat, I'd be telling your mate Dufus to remove the battery from the bike for charging, as the charging will generate a lot of heat.

Due to the power commander only taking its negative supply from the battery...NO
However as it is always recommended to disconect both battery terminals before charging anyway. If you have one of those auxillary plug in points for a trickle charger so you dont have to remove seat etc......then using that with everything connected is fine. Power com only powers up when ign switched on.
