Wtf, who the hell drives off from a hit and run? It's just despicable.

Hope it's not a write off, but given that the tank was smashed it might be.

Yeah it is bloody despicable, but so is everyone driving past a crash scene and leaving the "possibly" hurt rider to clean up the mess.....I was so angry on both counts, and sad for the little ducati...it was in mint condition.
The damage was repairable, tank just banged up and scratched and rear end could be sorted.
Gotta say, I was damn impressed with how well she handled everything....If it was my PhatGirl that got rear ended like that.......then I would possibly go on "safari" for a certain driver lol

If anyone knows the rider - send my regards & respect

Tell you what.. forget your faggy heated grips and thermals, give me a toasty warm Duc to ride through the traffic on a frosty Christchurch morning, mmm mmmm!
Your own personal heat pump.. (the Italians are good that way.. )

I think you should try a Guzzi with those big ole knee warmers sticking out... Its a calmer ride than the Duc, you wont need to keep your left hand poised over the clutch incase it explodes

My bike broke down on the Harbour Bridge last month. I had to push it all the way to Takapuna which took me just under three hours. Not once did anyone stop and ask if I needed help.

Sorry to hear (bet that was a long & painful walk)
Been on two wheels for nearly 30yrs, and was always taught to stop for two wheelers in trouble.
I always carry a good array of tools and spare bolts etc (lol...yeah I know...guzzi!...but we call it "character"!)
I don't care if its a scooter, harley or sport bike, if its in trouble I WILL stop!.
Being stranded on the side of the road, or left to push a bike on your own is no bloody fun at all, but having a fellow rider stop, yak and lend a hand is...in my eyes...a big part of belonging to the NZ biker community, We look out for each other!

They were probably thinking why doesn't that idiot use his cellphone to call a tow truck.

I'd be fucked. I've never in my life owned one.
