What a beaut eh. Great weather, brekkie in Martinborough (along with 54,000 other bikers), awesome roads, and no offs - an greeeeat day out riding. And to top it all off a decent ab work out from the hilarities of visiting Wgtn hospital (not Dave).
Good to be out riding again with you guys that came! And, yay CSL that you're bike is ok! Mikey - did yours survive the trip home ok?

Mrs H and I enjoyed meeting up with the 53,998 other bikers at the Martinborough Hotel. It was great to escape into near perfect riding conditions. While the MH is OK for change, things will be better once the Fush reopens.

After toodling off through Gladstone and Masterton, we vroomed up SH2 to Woodville, through the Gorge to Ashhurst for a coffee and then off home via Feilding, Rongotea and Taikorea. We arrived home in tonnes of time for the footy. And just as well too...

Yes it seemed funny not going to the Fish. But what a great day, to be able to dine outdoors in the middle of winter. And the oppotunity to wind up some Lions supporters staying at the MH....actually they were good sorts and were impressed with the line up of bikes.

Got home in time to get set up with some mates at the Pinetree Arms (local rugby pub)to watch a fantastic display of rugby prowess by the All Blacks

    my bike was semi okay.

going back down hill (hut side) i was witness to a hideous crime. someone rear ended a car an shot off back up the hill. i tried to follow but he was just to damm quick.

must of been ghost rider himself.

A good day if a little cold to start/finish with. We left Caltex a bit earlier than the 59,998 others so we were ensconced (sp Hitcher?) @ the MH when the others arrived. Chose the MH because the tables were in the sun and we could keep an eye on the bikes.

Hamish did some riding round Ponatahi after we left the MH, I went straight back to the top of the hill and hung around there.

HEAPS of bikes out and about, it was good to see.
