1977 and My Parents bought the only brand new car they've ever bought. A golden Holden kingswood station wagon.

First thing my Dad did was take the back seat belts out.

(They were non retracting, and us kids kept getting tangled up in them. Not really sure what the reason was, though. I was youngest, at 7).

*voice from the future* How did they ever manage back in 2011? I mean, pulease...internet? Cellphones? Personal vehicles? How primitive."
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yes, but did you have to walk to school in the snow with bare feet because your parents couldn't afford shoes? Sprinting across a paddock from cow shit to cow shit, in order to keep your feet warm?

    Thought not!

Though neither did I, but that was the story passed down to me when I was young.

    channel surfing!!!
there were only 3 channels anyway & they shut down overnight, oh the joy of waking up in the early morning to the hiss of no channel on the tv.
That ad on with the test pattern made of books in the bookcase makes me laugh as only over 35s would know what it is.

Driving around with a half dozen carton stuck between the radiator and the grille of my mates '52 Prefect. Cause the cops didn't think to look under the bonnet.

AKTV starting at 6.00pm. The Kaimai repeater breaking down halfway through 'Lassie'
