well yea i sorta am, my dad tells me all the time how he culdnt imagine growing up today and that when he was young life was great, he's old enough and humble enough now to realise tht the beating, the compulsary outdoorsness, the self sufficiency was actualy a blessing.

And car seats - oh, please! Mom threw you in the back seat and you hung on. If you were lucky, you got the "safety arm" across the chest at the last moment if she had to stop suddenly, and if your head hit the dashboard, well that was your fault for calling "shot gun" in the first place!

1977 and My Parents bought the only brand new car they've ever bought. A golden Holden kingswood station wagon.

First thing my Dad did was take the back seat belts out.
