Thumbs down I personally don't want the WELLYWOOD sign...

It may be a cutesy pun to some but I think Wellington has its own identity, we don't need to borrow and bastardise some tacky sign from the US.

Then buy a bit of land and don't put a Wellywood sign on it.

I couldn't agree more Jonathan! What's next... The Great Wall of Palmerston North? The Arc de Dannevirke? The Pyramids of Methven?

I was stunned enough when the Wellington council decided to spend $20,000 on that Stock Exchange ticker down on the waterfront (which subsequently needed another few thou to fix). Hardly the epitomisation of Wellington's fantastic culture - and one of the most unlikely places any budding broker is likely to go for updates on their share prices.

Perhaps a giant hobbit? An ork, perhaps?

Really, what's the point? It'll get blown away by the wind.

I think it was some bloke to do with the airport, it's their land it's going to be on...we should run a sweep on how long it'll be until it gets tagged.
